Terms and Conditions

1. QUOTES

1.1 - The price quoted to the client is for the work specifically agreed on the quotation only. Should the client decide that changes are required after work on the website has commenced there may be a surcharge.  

2. PAYMENTS

2.1 - GTrekMedia Limited will only commence work on a Project after receipt of a non-refundable, 50% deposit of the quoted Project fee from the Client. The final 50% payment is to be made on completion of the website. The website will be made public once the Clients remaining balance is paid in full.  

2.2 - The deposit paid to GTrekMedia Limited covers the cost of design work carried out as well as any administration work and communication with GTrekMedia Limited. The deposit is non refundable. We do offer a 'cooling off period' of seven working days wherein a customer may cancel an order. Any costs incurred as a result of a customer´s request will be deducted from this. 

3. CANCELLATION

3.1 - Should the client wish to cancel at any point during the process they shall remain liable for the work that has taken place and shall be invoiced accordingly. 

4. DOMAIN NAMES AND HOSTING

4.1 - A domain name will be registered by GTrekMedia Limited on behalf of the client once we have received the 50% deposit. 

4.2 - GTrekMedia shell arrange domain name registration and web hosting for a period agreed with the Client, supplied by a third-party host of GTrekMedia Limited's choice. Hosting and domain name charges shall be included in the initial charge quoted by GTrekMedia Limited  at the time of the agreement with the Client. 

4.3 - When a Client renews Hosting with GTrekMedia Limited, this also includes domain renewal if the renewal is needed to keep the site functioning and was purchased as part of the Hosting package. If the Client does not renew the Hosting, their domain name could be made available to the public for purchase and GTrekMedia Limited cannot be held liable for this.  

4.4 - Renewal of Hosting is due on a yearly basis. The date of renewal will be annually from the date the website was ordered by the Client. The Hosting will not be renewed if GTrekMedia Limited cannot contact the Client or the Client requests for GTrekMedia Limited to not host this site. This will also affect the domain as per item 4.3.  

4.5 - The Hosting renewal charge must be received within 10 days of the Hosting expiry date. GTrekMedia Limited reserve the right to deactivate any website where the Hosting has expired and the Client has not paid the renewal charge. There will be an administration fee set by GTrekMedia Limited for reactivating the website/Hosting.  

4.6 - Should a Client wish to move Hosting away from GTrekMedia Limited or transfer a Domain name away from GTrekMedia Limited, a £30 admin charge will be issued, which must be paid before the transfer takes place.  

5. WEB SITES

5.1 - Future Site Problems caused by malicious software, spy-ware, viruses and website hacking are a fact of life on today´s Internet. It is highly unlikely that these will affect your website, and GTrekMedia Limited will endeavour to protect it from this as much as we can during its creation, but after the website is handed over we cannot be held responsible for problems caused by illegal activity or the actions of others. 

5.2 - IMPORTANT! Failure to Provide Required Website Content you must ensure that we are not delayed as a result of late delivery of the material and content required to complete your website. 

This is why we ask that you provide all the required information in advance. On any occasion where we are delayed because you have not provided this information, I reserve the right to impose a surcharge of 25% of the total cost of the work. 

If you agree to provide us with the required information in advance and subsequently fail to do within four weeks of project commencement we reserve the right to close the project and the balance remaining becomes payable immediately. This will not be a problem provided that you do not give us the go ahead to start until you are ready to do so. 

5.3 - Clients Responsibilities with Regard to Copyright in situations where the client provides images, text, animations, layouts or any other content for their website they are legally responsible for ensuring that this material does not infringe any copyright.  

5.4 - Updates - prices £50 per page 

MORE INFORMATION

Certain images provided by GTrekMedia Limited may have been purchased under licence from stock image suppliers. These images are generally only licensed for use on a website. The licence may not permit them to be used in publicity material. The website owner is legally responsible for ensuring that this does not happen. If you wish to use any images from the site for other purposes please contact us for clarification.By agreeing to these terms and conditions your statutory rights are not affected.  

GTrekMedia Limited reserves the right to change or modify any of these terms or conditions at any time. Should clarification of any of the above be required please contact us.
